Description We are offering a contract for an Accounts Payable Clerk position in BRIDGEVILLE, Pennsylvania. This role is set in a bustling, on-site environment where you will be handling a high volume of invoices. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will have the opportunity to use your skills in the industry to maintain efficient and accurate operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the processing of high volumes of invoices, ranging from 400-700
• Take responsibility for customer inquiries and resolve them effectively
• Keep a close eye on customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain detailed and precise records of customer credit
• Utilize Great Plains software for various tasks (though not a requirement) Requirements • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Proficient in using Accounts Payable (AP) software.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Demonstrable ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Proficiency in English and in office software.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
