Description We are searching for a meticulous Staff Accountant to bolster our team in BRIDGEVILLE, Pennsylvania. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the transport industry. The Staff Accountant will play an integral part in managing and providing insights on the company's finances, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Execute precise and efficient processing of journal entries

• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate record-keeping

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial clarity

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness

• Employ advanced Excel skills to perform functions such as xlookup/vlookup/sumif(s)/pivot tables

• Work closely with financial systems such as NetSuite and Oracle

• Ensure accurate monthly and year-end closing of the company's accounts

• Proactively monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Apply financial analysis skills to interpret and report on financial performance. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience in a similar Staff Accountant role

• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically NetSuite and Oracle

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Competency in General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and accounting best practices

• Appropriate professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
