Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Bridgewater, New Jersey

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our clients team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This role involves managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely paychecks, and addressing related queries. The successful candidate will need to be skilled in various payroll and accounting functions, including union payroll, and be able to navigate software systems such as ADP Workforce Now and UltiPro.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all employees receive accurate and timely paychecks

• Handle payroll for union employees, adhering to specific union regulations and guidelines

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now and other software systems to track hours, process payments, and manage payroll records

• Perform various accounting functions, including reconciling payroll data and processing checks

• Administer benefits, including 401k - RRSP Administration, ensuring all employees are accurately enrolled and all benefits are properly calculated in each paycheck

• Use Microsoft Excel to create and maintain payroll reports and to assist in data analysis

• Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing excellent customer service and ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly

• Monitor payroll processes and systems for compliance with relevant laws and internal policies

• Use Ceridian, Kronos Timekeeping System, and other tools to manage timekeeping and attendance records

• Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure all payroll data is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and UltiPro payroll systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in 401k and RRSP administration

• Familiarity with accounting functions related to payroll

• Knowledge of benefits functions and administration

• Experience in check processing for payroll disbursement

• Understanding of payroll regulations and requirements for unions

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Relevant certification or qualification in payroll administration or related field is preferred.
