Robert Half Tax Manager in Bridgewater, New Jersey
Description
We are in the pursuit of a Tax Manager who will be primarily responsible for reviewing and preparing high-level tax returns. This role is open to candidates across all locations, including remote, and it offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity. The Tax Manager will function in a crucial role, handling complex tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, estate tax return, and gift tax, among other tax-related tasks. This role can be fully remote but hybrid schedule would be preferred (Bridgewater, NJ area). Must have strong communication skills. Must have strong background in public tax accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Review and prepare corporate tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws
• Handle tax returns for high net worth individuals with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review Trust and Estate tax returns ensuring all financial information is correctly reported
• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx for tax preparation and other related tasks
• Provide technical tax advice and planning services to corporate clients
• Handle fiduciary income tax returns, ensuring all financial details are accurately captured and reported
• Manage and respond to tax-related inquiries from clients in a timely and effective manner
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in tax laws to provide accurate tax advice to clients
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's or Honours Degree in a related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparing Complex Tax Returns
• Experience with Estate Tax Return and Fiduciary Income Tax Return preparation
• A comprehensive understanding of Gift tax regulations and procedures
• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx software for tax management
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling tax-related tasks
• Ability to keep up with changes in tax laws and regulations
• Proven track record in tax planning and strategy development
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
