Robert Half Help Desk Support Specialist in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is crucial in providing network and telecommunication systems support, as well as delivering technical assistance and basic instructions to users. This position serves both on-site and remote users, making it a vital part of our telecom provider's operations.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming telephone, voice mail, and e-mail requests from users experiencing computer-related technology problems
• Evaluate and prioritize these requests to ensure efficient resolution
• Interview users to gather information about the problem, leading them through diagnostic procedures to identify the source of error
• Provide first-level triage for users, both on-site and remotely
• Instruct users on the basic use of equipment, software, and manuals
• Utilize Microsoft and Active Directory in daily operations
• Handle computer hardware and configuration management tasks
• Provide deskside support and manage desktop hardware issues
• Use ticketing systems for efficient communication and problem tracking.
Requirements • Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a Help Desk Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Knowledge of Active Directory is essential.
• Must have experience in Computer Hardware.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management is preferred.
• Prior experience in Deskside Support is necessary.
• Understanding of Desktop Hardware is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Ring Central is advantageous.
• Experience with a Ticketing System is required.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Must have a proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions.
• Good understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
• Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills.
