Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for a great long-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Other projects as required
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Requirements - Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Skilled with ERP systems
The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting systems
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
Deep understanding of journal entries
Comprehensive knowledge of accruals
Foundational knowledge in Analyze Financial Statements
Year end closings experience preferred
