Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist at supporting a client in Brooklyn Park, MN. In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities including processing payroll, managing benefits inquiries, and maintaining accurate records using various accounting software systems. Responsibilities:
• Processing bi-weekly payrolls and ensuring accurate pay rate transfers
• Managing and resolving payroll and benefits related inquiries via various channels such as phone calls, IM, and a dedicated inbox
• Auditing new employee paperwork and understanding how each site sets up a new employee in the system
• Maintaining accurate records of employee data and transactions using accounting software systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce
• Handling complexities related to payroll of unionized employees
• Ensuring accurate benefit fundings after payroll is processed
• Managing benefit billing processes
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory for the role of Payroll Specialist.
• Applicants must be well-versed with ADP Workforce Now.
• Understanding of 401k - RRSP Administration is essential.
• Applicants should possess solid understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Auditing skills and experience are crucial for this role.
• Candidates should be well-versed in Benefit Functions.
