Robert Half Staff Accountant in Brunswick, Georgia

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Brunswick, Georgia. The role entails providing accounting and financial analysis support to various accounting functions, including accounts payable, general accounting, and cost accounting. The job also involves preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, and assisting in the monthly closing process.

Salary: $50-60k + 10% bonus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounting related entries to various registers, journals, and logs

• Assist in the monthly closing process, including performing monthly bank settlements

• Compile monthly financial statements and quarterly reporting packages

• Serve as a liaison for audit reporting and activities, and assist in accumulating audit documentation

• Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts

• Conduct internal audits on a quarterly basis and coordinate related activities

• Prepare analysis schedules of specific accounts for use by management and external auditors

• Maintain accounts payable software and expense reporting software

• Process accounts payable for stock and non-stock purchases

• Undertake special projects as assigned

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Proficiency in Journal Entries and Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large amounts of data.
