Description We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in Brunswick, Maine. In this role, you will primarily manage a docket of large property and auto-related losses in active litigation. The position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, where you will work autonomously with limited supervision and handle a case from acceptance through trial/settlement.

Responsibilities

• Work on a docket of large property and auto-related losses in active litigation.

• Utilize your skills in civil litigation, claim administration, and complaint handling.

• Leverage your experience with legal software such as 3M, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System for documentation and case management.

• Use your knowledge in Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense Litigation, and Defense Litigation to manage cases effectively.

• Handle cases from acceptance through trial or settlement, demonstrating your strong litigation skills.

• Use your proficiency in briefing to present case updates and findings.

• Show your ability to work autonomously and manage your workload with limited supervision.

• Resolve legal issues efficiently and ensure client satisfaction.

• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure all case-related matters are attended to promptly.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in the legal field and use this knowledge to manage cases effectively. Requirements • Must hold a valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Attorney/Lawyer.

• Familiarity with 3M and other industry-specific software, such as Case Management Software, Legal software, and LexisNexis.

• Experience with Management System is required.

• Proficiency in briefing, civil litigation, claim administration, complaint handling, and documentation is expected.

• Experience in subrogation and insurance defense litigation is necessary.

• Civil Litigation Experience, Defense Litigation, and Litigation skills are key.

• Experience in different types of Litigation including Civil, Defense, Plaintiff, and as a Litigation Attorney is a must.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Must abide by all professional ethics and standards of the legal profession.

• Familiarity with legal research methods and databases.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
