Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Warehouse Administrative Assistant in BUFFALO GROVE, Illinois, United States. This role revolves around the logistics and administrative tasks within a warehouse environment, specifically pertaining to the handling and shipping of small, valuable items from auction houses.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process and pack small parcel items, such as ceramic vases, porcelain plates, or rare books, ensuring they are prepared for shipping in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular pickups from local auction houses, ensuring the safe transportation of items to our facility.
• Maintain and update inventory systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping of items and their status.
• Manage labels and labeling systems, ensuring the correct labels are applied to the appropriate boxes.
• Handle the release of packed boxes to delivery services, such as FedEx, ensuring a smooth handover process.
• Maintain clear and precise email correspondence with relevant parties regarding the release and status of items.
• Leverage skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to manage administrative tasks and communication.
• Deliver exceptional Customer Service, addressing and resolving inquiries effectively.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls related to warehouse inventory and management.
• Ensure a high level of attention to detail in all tasks, reflecting the value and uniqueness of items handled. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing inbound outbound calls effectively
• Demonstrated ability in providing exceptional customer service
• Proven experience in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
• Experience working in a warehouse environment is essential
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory processes and systems
• Experience in warehouse management, including organizing and maintaining inventory
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
