Responsible for verifying all incoming patient's insurance coverage, updating the patient's insurance data in the billing system, collecting insurance cards and other patient documents, and obtaining payor authorizations.
Recent experience in patient insurance verification.
Responsible for ensuring all required documentation is obtained at admission for each patient.
Ensure all patient information is updated and accurate in the system.
Experience in obtaining payor authorizations for patients.
Excellent communication skills to obtain information from hospitals, facilities, patients, and payors.
Patient Care Coordinators subject to consideration should posses a strong medical background with administrative experience. Candidates must be computer savvy having experience utilizing Microsoft Office, including Excel. It is imperative that this candidate have the innate ability to multitask, is detail oriented and is dependable.
