Description
Robert Half is currently seeking candidates for ongoing Payroll Clerk roles within the Buffalo/Niagara area. These roles are ongoing opportunities with potential for advancement for the right candidates.
Responsibilities:
Compile and record employee time and payroll data.
May compute employees' time worked, production, and commission.
Compute, withhold, and account for necessary tax and benefit deductions.
Issue and distribute paychecks, necessary reports, and statements to departments.
Act as a point of reference for payroll-related inquiries and issues.
Assist to prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
Maintain payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
Requirements
Proven payroll experience.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge and familiarity with payroll software, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
