Description
Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is currently seeking a dedicated SR Accounts Payable Specialist to join their client's team. As an SR Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be in charge of handling high volume Accounts Payable tasks for numerous properties across various states. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and staff training.
Responsibilities
• Efficiently process a high volume of customer credit applications
• Ensure the accurate and timely entry of invoices, matching them with purchase orders and preparing vouchers
• Carry out in-depth investigations to resolve vendor disputes and maintain effective communication with vendors
• Prepare and analyze Accounts Payable reports and assist with audits and financial reporting
• Guide and train junior Accounts Payable staff on various tasks and procedures
• Utilize Nexus for accounting purposes and MRI for property management tasks
• Maintain a strong attention to detail while carrying out accounting functions
• Effectively manage and monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status
• Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of data
• Apply account coding appropriately in all relevant tasks
Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Coding is required.
• Proven experience in Data Processing is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions is necessary.
• 5+years of experience in Accounts Payable is a prerequisite.
• Auditing skills are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is expected.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems is beneficial.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks is crucial.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to adapt to new tools and software.
• Effective time management skills.
• Prior experience in a similar role in a corporate setting is desirable.
