Description
Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity in the bustling city of Buffalo, New York. We seek a SR Accounts Payable Specialist who will oversee the full cycle of accounts payable processes, from invoice receipt to payment. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment to manage a variety of tasks related to accounts payable.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full cycle of the accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain vendor relationships, managing communications and resolving payment issues
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
• Implement and maintain internal controls and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve workflow
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
• Experience in coding invoices for payment
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to process invoices in a timely and efficient manner
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
