FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - International Retail and E-commerce Company in Buford

We are in search of a proactive and diligent Financial Controller to join our team in Buford, Georgia. This role is instrumental in offering financial and operational direction, ensuring compliance with all statutory, legislative, and financial responsibilities. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to influence and plan alongside the senior leadership team, making an impact across the entire business.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimize the performance of the finance and operations teams.

  • Provide financial advice, leadership, and guidance to company leaders, managers, and staff to help them achieve their goals.

  • Monitor external contracts and supplier services to ensure effective operations, taking corrective action when necessary.

  • Manage the company’s foreign currency requirements and cash flow.

  • Coordinate with business insurance providers and the company's banking partner.

  • Produce monthly financial and management accounts within established timelines.

  • Serve as the primary contact for company auditors and tax advisors.

  • Contribute to the development of company strategy by analyzing business results and targets and challenging financial projections.

  • Prepare and submit U.S. sales tax returns.

  • Collaborate with the UK head office on budgeting and rolling forecasts.

  • Develop and implement finance and system procedures and processes.

    Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field of study

  • Masters degree in Accounting or Business highly preferred

  • CPA required

  • Proficient in Accounting Functions

  • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Familiar with Auditing procedures and processes

  • Knowledge and experience in Budget Processes

  • Experience with Annual Inventory and Annual Physical Inventory management

  • Proficiency in Xero, Sage Software, and Microsoft Excel

  • Able to manage Sales Tax and Sales Tax Returns

  • Proficient in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting

  • Experience with Rolling Forecast
