Description
We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Burbank, California. This role primarily involves overseeing the financial close process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, maintaining compliance with GAAP, and managing fixed assets. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process ensuring the timely preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, focusing on appropriate revenue recognition for projects and accurate balance sheet reconciliation.
• Manage fixed assets, including updating fixed asset roll forwards monthly, and ensure enforcement of accounting policies.
• Act as the primary contact for both internal and external audits, providing necessary financial documentation.
• Display strong accounting systems expertise, with proficiency in Excel and experience in Trimble/Viewpoint ProContractor preferred.
• Lead post-acquisition work, assisting with financial adjustments and integration.
• Ensure accurate account reconciliations and take appropriate action for any discrepancies.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
• Candidate must have a strong background in Monthly Close procedures
• Experience in Annual External Audit is required
• Proficiency in Accrual Accounting is a must
• Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation is essential
• Knowledge and experience in managing Fixed Assets is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience in using ProContractor software is a plus
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista software is beneficial
• Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
• Previous experience in a managerial role in the Accounting field is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
• Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy in work.
