STAFF ACCOUNTANT/PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT

Commercial real estate property management company is seeking a Staff Property Accountant to work with Financial Controller and Senior Accountant in maintaining

financial information, including the recording of cash receipts, tenant billings, processing of accounts payables, and preparation of the detailed schedules for monthly financial statements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Bank reconciliations for development and property management portfolios.

• Review ledger and prepare monthly journal entries for closing financials of assigned properties.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts or sub-ledgers.

• Monthly and quarterly financial reporting.

• Preparation of CAM reconciliations.

• Participate in annual budget process.

• Weekly AP for multiple corporate entities and properties including review of AP coding, entry of invoices into, Yardi Payscan

QuickBooks ERP system, processing ACH and wire payments, processing checks runs, matching checks to back-up, and

filing.

• Property Management fee calculations.

• Monitoring of cash on hand and work with manager to ensure adequate funds needed.

• Improving processes in AP/AR functions including converting from a check processing to ACH processing payment system.

• Allocating corporate expenses to various entities and properties and monitoring reimbursements.

• Performance of property accounting functions AR, AP and journal entries.

• Assist with special projects related to quarterly close reporting process, budgets, internal audit, external audit

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• Experience in real estate industry

• Experience with Yardi software and QuickBooks is a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Software and intermediate at Excel and Adobe
