Description
Exciting Payroll Specialist position with an industry leader! Partnering with one of their clients, Robert Half is reviewing candidates for a Payroll Specialist position. You will succeed in this role if you have the ability to communicate effectively and deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment. One of the main responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist is to ensure the payroll production is timely and accurate for all employees. Please apply right away! This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Burlington, North Carolina area but offers flexibility to work from home several days a week.
What you get to do every day:
Be able to co-function with internal business partners, Information Technology, and Human Resources to ensure security protocols for pay systems
Confirm timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
Examine data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave
Lend a hand to staff with pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, and fringe benefits
Expand systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
Carry out regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
Requirements
Must have experience working with an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
- FPC or CPP most optimal
3+ years of payroll experience
Deep understanding of Automated Payroll
**Strong Reconciliations experience
