Robert Half Data Entry Clerk in Burlington, Vermont

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in Burlington, Vermont, United States. The selected candidate will be working in the telecom industry, focusing on maintaining and organizing crucial customer information and data. This role requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency in data management, and the ability to provide occasional administrative support.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain spreadsheets to track vital customer information and orders

• Transfer data accurately from hard copy to a digital database

• Regularly update customer information in the database

• Organize existing data in a spreadsheet and ensure it remains up-to-date

• Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records

• Operate common office equipment, such as scanners and printers

• Investigate information contained in files as necessary

• Perform regular database backups to secure data

• Input text-based and numerical information from source documents swiftly and efficiently

• Provide occasional administrative support across departments on an ad-hoc basis

• Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct any incompatibilities

• Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry

• Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically

• Use skills such as 10 Key Skills, Customer Service, Email Correspondence, Microsoft Word, Organizing Files, Perform Calculations, Typing. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word for creating, editing, and formatting documents.

• Strong typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry.

• Possession of 10 Key Skills for data entry and calculations.

• Ability to organize files in a systematic and efficient manner.

• Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.

• Comfortable with email correspondence, responding timely and professionally to internal and external communications.

• Ability to perform calculations accurately and quickly.

• Proven experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
