Robert Half Financial Analyst in Burlington, Vermont


You'll be interested in this Senior Financial Analyst position with one of our clients, if you're looking for short-term contract / temporary work. This Senior Financial Analyst position is located in Burlington, Vermont. You'll be interested in this position if you want to be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. This Senior Financial Analyst consultant role will perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.

Key responsibilities as the Financial Analyst:

  • Make business, operational, and financial processes to be shared, understood, and repeated by relevant teams

  • Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives

  • Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis

  • Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting

  • Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports

  • Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

  • Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

  • Be able to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate updates to senior management all in order to drive existing management reporting


  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Track-record in process reengineering and optimization

  • A strong ability to work with office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

  • Ability to work cross functionally and influence appropriately

  • HealthCare Industry experience

  • Prior experience with Productivity Metrics

  • Practical knowledge of operations

  • Grant accounting experience desired

  • Strong familiarity with fund administration

  • Fund accounting experience required

  • General familiarity with business planning and control

  • Adeptness in Healthcare Administration

  • Comprehension of Productivity Levels

  • Previous experience working with revenue reporting

  • HealthCare Revenue Cycle experience highly preferred

  • Analysis experience desired

  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting

  • Experience with Maximize Productivity

  • Hands-on experience with Improve Productivity

  • Background working with Analyze Revenues

  • Good understanding of Revenue Accounting

  • Productivity experience highly valued

  • Strong familiarity with HealthCare Analytics

  • HealthCare Billing experience highly desired

  • Foundational knowledge in compensation analysis

  • Productivity Reports experience preferred

  • Earlier work involving Hospital Revenue Cycle

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

  • Compelling strategy mindset and a track record of interacting successfully with management

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
