Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Burlington, Washington

If you can take charge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties, you might be right for this Accounting Manager position with a burgeoning, innovative Construction/Contractor company. Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

  • Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process

  • Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Play key role in implementation of NetSuite Financials including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts owned by Senior Accountant

  • Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems Requirements - Proven technical skills

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Recent relevant financial experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Costing experience

  • Financial reporting experience

  • Expertise in supervising

  • Fixed assets experience

  • Experience with auditing

  • Customer service oriented communication skills

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
