Description We are in the process of seeking a Tax Manager - Public to join our team in Burnsville, Minnesota. As a Tax Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in our CPA firm, overseeing tax accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to exhibit their skills in public accounting and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations

• Supervise the tax accounting team, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance

• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize efficiency and accuracy

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensure the team's practices align with these

• Liaise with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide expert advice

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline tax procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Conduct regular tax audits and prepare detailed reports on findings

• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members in the tax department

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tax transactions and documents

• Exhibit proficiency in public accounting and bookkeeping, utilizing these skills to optimize operational efficiency. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the public accounting field.

• Demonstrable experience in public accounting tax is a must.

• Should be proficient in bookkeeping and have a solid understanding of financial principles.

• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

• Strong ability to manage and lead a team is required.

• Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively.

• Should have a strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations is a must.

• Must have a proven track record of maintaining client relationships.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns is required.

• Should be able to develop tax strategies for clients.

• Must be able to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and standards.

• Experience in training and mentoring staff is required.
