Description
We are in search of an Accounts Receivable/Collection Supervisor/Manager, this role, you will be leading a team and strategizing on the best approaches for collections. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee a team of collectors and provide guidance on debt collection best practices.
• Strategize on the most effective methods for collecting payments and resolving outstanding accounts.
• Conduct regular check-ins with team members to assess performance, address challenges, and provide individual coaching.
• Handle internal and external roadblocks that may hinder the collections process, such as system issues or client objections.
• Contribute insights or alternative approaches to problem-solving, helping the team look at challenges from different perspectives.
• Display strong communication skills to navigate complex situations both internally and externally.
• Engage with clients and accounts to resolve escalated issues and manage difficult conversations professionally.
• Provide ongoing feedback, monitor the team's performance, and help develop their skills in negotiation and collections.
• Ensure alignment of team goals with the company’s objectives for accounts receivable, and work with individual collectors to meet or exceed these goals.
• Track performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
Requirements • Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience with Auditing is essential
• Must be capable of performing Billing Functions effectively
• Proficiency in SAP is necessary
• Knowledge and understanding of Excel Formulas is required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in B2B collections is essential
• Must have experience working with Portals
• Must be able to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is necessary
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
