Robert Half Purchase & Sales Specialist in Calabasas, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchase & Sales Specialist based in Calabasas, California. As part of our team, your primary function will be to manage and oversee the purchasing process, from issuing purchase orders to maintaining strong relationships with vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Issue precise Purchase Orders in a timely manner to cater to production-related expenditures

• Facilitate the swift receipt of goods and services to expedite financial recognition

• Reconcile outstanding purchase transactions promptly to ensure smooth operations

• Analyze expenditure data to pinpoint opportunities for cost-saving, with a focus on production and operations

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams to deliver efficient purchasing support

• Implement effective sourcing methods and maintain vendor KPIs to ensure adherence to standards

• Prioritize product and service quality during vendor discussions and negotiations

• Ensure prompt submission of documents for new vendor setup to avoid delays

• Foster robust vendor relationships for beneficial outcomes

• Undertake special projects and tasks as required by the organization. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M and IBM AS/400 is required

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions is a must

• Knowledge about Time and Accounting Functions is essential

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Buying Processes is required

• Strong communication skills are vital

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Sound decision-making skills and the ability to plan and prioritize

• Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
