If you have accounting experience and want to work with a well-respected company, Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half has an opening for a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace.
What you get to do every single day
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Efficient in ERP systems
Skilled at time management
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proficiency in Monthly Financial Statements
Solid understanding of financial reporting
Knowledge of financial reporting
Foundational knowledge in budgeting
Excellent communication and organizational skills
