Robert Half is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant opportunity is located in the Cambridge, Massachusetts area and will offer a great you a great professional experience along with attractive compensation. Your responsibilities in this role:
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
ERP system experience
A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
2+ years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Experience with data entry
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Expertise in Deltek Vision
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Deltek
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
