Robert Half Insurance Defense Paralegal in Camden, New Jersey
Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced insurance defense paralegal for a 5-6 contract-based opportunity supporting a Supply Chain and Logistics Solutions corporation in South New Jersey.
• Open new claim files in electronic system and upload claim documents to software (training will be provided).
• Analyze liability issues, review medical records and summarize files.
• Initiate investigations relevant to claimants and merits of claims.
• Gather relevant documents and information from in-house colleagues.
• Coordinate and collaborate with outside adjusters and investigators
• Offer insight and recommendations to attorney and in-house litigation paralegal with respect to handling of claims.
Requirements
ABILITIES/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Five (5) years in the claims and/or legal industry relating to the handling of personal injury and property damage (auto) claims, preferably on the defense side; law firm, insurance company, in-house legal departments all relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively and professionally correspond and negotiate with claimants, attorneys, insurers, etc. in order to handle claims.
• Working knowledge with reviewing medical records and associated terminology.
• Must be professional, highly organized, and detailed oriented.
• Ability to work at a fast pace, with little supervision, and be able to multi-task.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
