Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Campbell, California
Description Robert Half is searching for an efficient Accounting Clerk for a well-known organization in the Construction/Contractor industry. In this position, your responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, performing data entry tasks and supporting the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Campbell, California, area.
Key responsibilities
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
Manually or electronically post financial information Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Construction Accounting experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Experience with high volume data entry
