Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Canton, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This role demands a high level of customer service skills and a keen understanding of our product lineup and internal operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support customer accounts with products according to purchase orders. This entails working directly with EDI orders, telephone, fax, and email.

  • Carefully analyze items, current inventory, and pricing to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Manage and match Purchase Orders (PO's) and proofs of delivery using SAP and Excel.

  • Liaise closely with the Accounts Payable Departments, using company software for swift and efficient operations.

  • Develop strategic reports to help determine Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), usage, and percentage of profit.

  • Handle and process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) promptly and effectively.

  • Provide accurate quotations for products to customers.

  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.

  • High proficiency with EDI orders, SAP, and Excel.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Preferred:

  • Experience with distribution and warehousing.

    Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing inbound/outbound calls in a call center customer service environment

• Experience in providing exceptional customer service, both over the phone and via email correspondence

• Ability to perform data entry tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for various tasks

• Experience in order entry, ensuring all customer orders are processed accurately and promptly

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively, ensuring an organized workflow

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers

• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively

• Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent, with further training in customer service being a plus.
