Robert Half Finance is looking for an ambitious Finance Manager to join a well-respected Manufacturing Company in North County, San Diego. In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting and clerical department. As the Finance Manager you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. REPORTS TO: President (CEO)
COMPENSATION: Up to $120k + Discretionary Bonus and Great Benefits
LOCATION: CARLSBAD, CA
WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time; in office (remote limited)
* REQUIRED: 3+ YEARS OF MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE *
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review journal entries including recurring journal entries and allocations, account reconciliations and analysis.
Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
Review and approval of all cash disbursements.
Coordinate the preparation of financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
Review audit backup for regional requirements and SOX / internal control testing.
Analyze cost controls and expenses to guide business decisions. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
Interact with the President and other managers to provide consultative support as it relates to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations
Preparation of the annual budget for the business unit.
Manage financial related projects as they arise.
Manage and review of monthly closing and reporting information submitted to Corporate.
Ensure compliance with reporting requirements as set by Corporate
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required.
REQUIRED: A minimum of 3 years total experience in a manufacturing environment directly responsible in financial statement preparation, reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliation, with public accounting firm experience a plus.
Experience supervising 1-2 or more staff members
Experience implementing and developing ERP and related IT systems will be highly an advance. Skilled use of excel, power point, word.
