Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our construction firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling financial project operations, such as processing invoices, monitoring project budgets, and generating financial reports.
Responsibilities:
Manage, track and report on the financial performance of construction projects.
Process and verify invoices ensuring project expenditures are accurately accounted for.
Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure proper cost control.
Assist with budgeting, cost projection, and economic forecasting for projects.
Review accounts payable, making sure all amounts are accurate and all invoices are paid promptly.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a project accountant in a construction setting.
Proficient understanding of standard construction industry contract terms and conditions.
Exceptional numerical proficiency and analytical skills.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
