Description

John Asdell with Robert Half is partnered with global consumer electronics company that is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team in San Diego County. In this role, you will be responsible for various procedures related to the consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting. You will also play a pivotal role in analyzing and preparing monthly account reconciliations, maintaining standard costs, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. The company offers a strong overall compensation plan as well as a 3/2 hybrid work schedule. The company has a state-of-the-art office in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct various procedures related to the consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting

• Analyze and prepare monthly account reconciliations for moderate to complex accounts

• Prepare and process journal entries, including appropriate documentation, for an accelerated close

• Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures

• Review and prepare variance analyses for responsible accounts

• Assist the Accounting Team with Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow forecasts

• Responsible for reconciling inventory, maintaining standard costs, and performing the standard cost roll

• Maintain prepaid asset schedules

• Prepare and work with other accounting team members on monthly, quarterly, yearly schedules for external audit and parent company external reporting requirements

• Assist in financial reviews and audits

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive experience in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Prior experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus but not required
