As the Payroll Clerk, you will handle data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution, and providing statements to various departments. This vacancy is based in the Carmel, California area and is a permanent opportunity. In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must possess strong communication skills in order to work with the internal team and external customers.
How you will make an impact
Produce and run custom reports
Administer and distribute reports as instructed
Maintain payroll operations by training/instructing employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Obtain timesheet approvals by contacting employees via email and phone
Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Provide clerical support by filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements - 3+ years of previous payroll experience
Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
Knowledgeable in Payroll software
Strong communication and social skills
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong time management and organizational skills
General familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll
Well-founded grasp of CIBC payroll
Solid understanding of benefits payroll
Quality experience with HRIS Payroll System
Skills in Adagio Accounting Suite
Proven knowledge of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Ceridian Payroll System experience
Good understanding of Accrual Accounting
Certified Payroll experience highly desired
Deep understanding of Canadian Payroll
Practical knowledge of HR Payroll System
Earlier work involving International Payroll
Expertise in bi-Monthly Payroll
Hands-on experience with Computerized Accounting System
Comprehension of Big 4 Accounting Firm
Previous experience working with Construction Accounting
Experience with commissions accounting
Wide ranging experience with independent systems (Payroll)
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
