Robert Half Internal Audit Manager/Director in CARMEL, Indiana

Description

Are you an experienced Auditor with the aptitude, desire and experience to delve more deeply into Data Analytics and how that can add value to the internal audit function? Are you looking for a position with growth and responsibility? If so, our client is one of the top financial service companies in the country and has an immediate need for an Audit Leader to become an integral part of their team. In this role you will be responsible for helping to develop and implement Audit Analytics tools and processes for local and corporate wide internal audits. You will work closely with the Internal Audit team and will be engaged in financial and operational audits as you learn the organization - and to better help you understand the needs and requirements for the Audit Analytics program. From time-to-time, you may also be called upon to perform due diligence on acquisitions and other special projects as requested.

For this position, you must have a four-year college degree with a major in Accounting or related field - or even a degree in Management Information systems. You will need 5+ years of current audit experience, either as an internal auditor or in public accounting, and have a working knowledge of audit principals and business processes. You should have experience or expertise in data analytic tools as well. Our client utilizes their audit staff as a training ground for their future leaders. As such, they will only consider candidates with ample drive, initiative and competitiveness. There will be plenty of opportunities to make a name for yourself, so superior communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or Management Information Systems

Relevant experience required which must include 3+ years’ experience with a Large Public Accounting or 5+ years of industry experience

Data analytic skills, utilizing data and transactions to identify errors and provide business insights and data analytics tools for audit sampling

Strong problem-solving skills

Experience in successfully managing multiple concurrent projects

Experience in effectively working in a large team environment

Strong technical abilities, working with Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new technologies

Strong interpersonal skills

Confident working with individuals at all levels of an organization in a consultative manner

Available to travel approximately 10-20%

Have or willing to pursue various technical certifications such as CPA, CIA, and/or various insurance designations such as AAI
