Robert Half Healthcare Practice has partnered with an independent private practice in Carmel, IN to secure a full-time Certified Professional Coder, CPC.
The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, with a flexible schedule.
Daily Responsibilities: Code for bariatric and weight loss surgery, Review, analyze and assign correct ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes and HCPCS codes as appropriate, Abstract pertinent information from patient records, Obtain acceptable productivity/quality rates as defined per coding policy, Queries physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate, ambiguous, or unclear for coding purposes, Maintain knowledge of and complies with coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements, Conduct chart audits for physician documentation requirements & internal coding; provides associate/physician & education as appropriate
