We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Patient Access Director Interim to lead and oversee our patient access department on a temporary basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of the patient access function within our healthcare organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling processes.
Departmental Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the patient access team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance existing patient access processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and patient satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and billing guidelines.
Financial Management: Collaborate with finance and billing teams to optimize revenue cycle management and reduce denials.
Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff members, promoting professional growth and skills development.
Patient Experience: Implement strategies to improve the patient registration experience, minimizing wait times and ensuring courteous and empathetic interactions.
Technology Integration: Leverage technology solutions to streamline patient access operations, such as electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient access, identifying areas for improvement.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including clinical teams, billing, and administration, to achieve organizational goals.

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a patient access Director or Supervisor.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Director or Supervisor.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and billing compliance.
Exceptional leadership and management skills.
Proficiency in healthcare software and technology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Flexibility to adapt to changing healthcare environments.
