Robert Half Billing Clerk in Carnegie, Pennsylvania
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Billing Clerk to join our team. Your responsibilities will include managing customer billing and ensuring all bills are sent out accurately and on time. You'll update accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, answer customer inquiries, and report on financial status regularly.
Responsibilities:
Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies.
Collect all information needed to calculate and create bills receivable.
Prepare, send out, and manage electronic invoices accurately and timely.
Check the data input in the accounting system to confirm its accuracy.
Gather and verify billing data, such as amounts due, discount rates, etc.
Update accounting records with issued invoices, payments received, and other related information.
Monitor receivables and identify overdue accounts by generating age analysis.
Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary.
Resolve billing issues by communicating and coordinating with customers and the internal team.
Report on billing activity with clear and reliable data.
Requirements
Proven experience as a billing clerk or similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plus.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and financial data analysis.
Excellent data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), knowledge of relevant accounting software will be a plus.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
