Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Carrollton, Texas

Description Experienced in accounting as a Full Charge Bookkeeper? Interested in taking on new challenges and opportunities to further your career? Robert Half is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. To succeed in this position, you will need excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in Carrollton, Texas.


  • Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules

  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner

  • Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

  • Handling bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing

  • Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement Requirements - Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting

    • Prior experience with Peachtree
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • Well-founded grasp of Excel Formulas

  • Practical knowledge of Property Tax

  • General familiarity with Property Tax Returns

  • Spreadsheets experience highly desired

  • Solid understanding of Process Credit Card

  • Strong familiarity with Monthly Sales Tax

  • Proven knowledge of Update Spreadsheets

  • Experience with Mail Checks

  • Expertise in Sales Tax Returns

  • Skills in Credit Card Receipts

  • Good understanding of Monthly Bank Reconciliation

  • Solid understanding of Sales Tax

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Wide ranging experience with Office Administration

  • Foundational knowledge in Manual Checks

  • Prior experience with Credit Cards

  • General familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with Credit Card Statements

  • Command of QuickBooks Pro

  • Solid understanding of QuickBooks

  • Well-founded grasp of Property Tax

  • Previous experience working with Auto Loans

  • Quality experience with Administrative Assistance

  • Strong familiarity with Create Spreadsheets

  • Comprehension of Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Hands-on experience with Credit Card Payments

  • Maintain Spreadsheets experience preferred

  • Proven knowledge of Pay Checks

  • Earlier work involving bank reconciliations

  • Background in payroll preferred

  • Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

  • Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required

  • High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
