Robert Half Staff Accountant in Carrollton, Texas

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry based in Carrollton, Texas. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling various accounts, and managing full-cycle accounting processes between Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role also involves uploading profit and loss statements to the internal communications system and completing local, county, and state filings.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the general ledger by verifying, calculating, posting, and rectifying assigned account transactions.

• Research and resolve any questionable items on the ledger.

• Handle heavy reconciliation responsibilities, including balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies from past reconciliations.

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes between Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Execute month-end procedures, including creating and reviewing journal entries.

• Perform complex reconciliations and assist other Staff Accountants when needed.

• Reconcile revenue activity between different software systems.

• Upload profit and loss statements to the internal communications system.

• Complete annual property tax renditions and other local/county/state filings.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions to analyze data. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of five years of experience in the role of Staff Accountant

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Account Reconciliation, Cash Reconciliations, and Credit Card Reconciliation is required

• Demonstrated experience in Daily Reconciliation and Financial Reconciliation is essential

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), Month End Close, Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary

• Ability to handle Journal Entries and manage the General Ledger

• Must possess skills in using Dynamics GP and MS Great Plains Dynamics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functions is required

• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary

• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is required.
