Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

  • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

  • Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

  • Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

  • Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

  • Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

  • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

    Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred but not required

  • 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience; Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) experience, debits and credits experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of QuickBooks

  • General familiarity with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables) highly preferred

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

  • Foundational knowledge in Fixed Asset Depreciation is a plus

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
