Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Carrollton, Texas, 75006, United States. In this pivotal role, you will be working closely with a growing team of intermediate to experienced engineers, focusing on Cybersecurity principles, mitigating controls, and Patch Management. You will be involved in the design and build of projects, ensuring the consistent execution and improvement of processes and procedures.
POSITION: SYSTEMS ENGINEER
LOCATION: CARROLLTON, TX ONSITE
SALARY: 120K - 135K (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
Responsibilities:
Enhancing the performance, agility, and innovation of the project through continuous improvement of processes and procedures
Collaborating with cross-discipline engineering teams, including software, hardware, test, and systems engineers, to execute COTS solution integrations
Engaging in cybersecurity and engineering solutions, practices, and delivery processes
Applying an analytical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and helping identify, communicate, resolve, and document issues
Performing server and network deployment and management throughout the entire product delivery lifecycle
Working with Windows Workstations and servers, virtualization, storage systems, Linux based security appliances, network switches, firewalls, etc. in an Active Directory environment to stand up, configure, test, and deliver small OT based environments
Performing vulnerability analysis, documentation, and patching of windows devices, appliances, network devices, and COTS applications to support system-wide vulnerability management
Making changes and updates to Server Configurations while maintaining a high level of Configuration Management
Performing system hardening
Requirements
Proficient in NIST standards, with the ability to apply them in practical scenarios.
Comprehensive understanding of Network Protocols and their applications.
Experience working with VMware for virtualization tasks.
Windows Servers
Storage Systems
Linux based security appliances
Systems and server patching
Knowledge of network switches and firewalls
Knowledge of System Hardening to enhance system security.
