Description
We are seeking a Senior Packaging Engineering to join our team in Cary, Illinois. This role involves leading the development and optimization of packaging systems for a diverse portfolio of medical devices, utilizing expertise to design and implement innovative packaging solutions. This long-term employment opportunity will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct packaging testing, and stay updated on industry trends.
Responsibilities:
• Leading the development and optimization of packaging systems for a diverse range of medical devices.
• Designing and implementing innovative packaging solutions using expertise and creativity.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand packaging requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Conducting packaging testing and validation to ensure quality and functionality.
• Ensuring compliance with packaging regulations and best practices.
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities in packaging processes.
• Continuously evaluating and improving packaging processes and procedures.
• Mentoring and guiding other packaging engineers and team members.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.
• Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding packaging design and development.
• Participating in project planning and providing input on timelines and resource allocation.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any packaging issues that arise during production.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of packaging materials, equipment, and technologies.
• Contributing to the development of packaging standards and guidelines.
Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of Packaging Engineering and related principles
• Proven experience in Project Planning and Timeline management
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Optimization techniques within a production environment
• Ability to design, test and implement Packaging Components and Packaging Materials
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Device packaging requirements and regulations
• Proven experience in developing Validation Plans and ensuring their execution
• Demonstrated ability to Ensure Compliance with industry regulations and best practices
• Strong ability to liaise with Third Party vendors to ensure quality and contractual agreement adherence
• Experience in Resource Allocation and managing production procedures
• Demonstrated ability in working with Stakeholders and providing input to improve packaging design
• Proven experience in Payroll management and related software such as 'About Time'
• Strong creativity skills, especially in the area of Packaging Design
• Understanding of Engineering principles and their application in a packaging environment
• Proficiency in ensuring Quality across all stages of production
