Description

We are looking for a dedicated Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in CATONSVILLE, Maryland. As a key member of our legal team, you will handle a variety of asylum and immigration cases, as well as conduct trials and process appeals. This role is critical in ensuring our clients receive the best possible legal advice and representation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake meetings with clients for asylum cases

• Prepare and finalize asylum declarations with clients

• Manage pre-trial preparations for asylum cases

• Lead the conduct of asylum trials

• Assist clients with adjustment of status post successful asylum trials

• Consult with clients on post-trial options in case of unsuccessful asylum trials

• Prepare and submit motions to change venue and reopen cases

• Handle family-based immigration applications including VAWA, DACA, Adjustment of Status, Marriage cases, One-Step cases, Removal of Conditions

• Process appeals of negative asylum outcomes and appeals before the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals

• Utilize Case Management Software for organizing and managing case files

• Prepare and review legal documents for civil litigation cases

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with sensitive information.

Requirements

• Must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the legal field.

• Must be licensed to practice law within the state.

• Proficiency in using Case Management Software is required.

• Must have strong experience in Civil Litigation.

• Should be capable of producing accurate legal documentation.

• Strong research skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must demonstrate high ethical standards and professional integrity.
