Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific short term contract position. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Requirements - Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Skilled with ERP systems
This position is for candidates with financial reporting systems proficiency
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Month end closings experience preferred
Solid understanding of Union Dues
Journal entries experience
Foundational knowledge in Corporate Internal Audit
Well-founded grasp of Aging Reports
Proven knowledge of Prepare Trial Balance
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
