Robert Half Logistics Clerk in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey
Description We are seeking a Logistics Clerk to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing communications with offshore factories, maintaining accurate records, and handling logistics-related tasks for major retail customers.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in daily communication with offshore factories pertaining to order status, shipment schedules, and document preparation.
• Ensure accuracy of purchase orders by checking details such as pricing, container size, and shipment windows.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets and reports including purchase order confirmations and tracking reports.
• Handle the creation of Sales and Purchase orders for received purchase orders.
• Verify the accuracy of pricing with each factory for all SKU and received purchase orders.
• Create customer invoices for purchase orders using the logistics company's e-docs system based on container information received from factories.
• Prepare daily accounting packets needed for invoicing shipments.
• Review all purchase order packets for accuracy and legibility before forwarding to the accounts receivable/accounts payable team.
• Manage and organize files for all purchase orders by shipment window.
• Undertake any other relevant duties as assigned. Requirements • Applicant must have prior experience in the Wholesale Distribution industry.
• Proficiency in handling Customer Invoices is necessary.
• Experience with Purchase Orders is a critical requirement.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required.
• Familiarity with logistics procedures and inventory control is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial.
