Robert Half Staff Accountant in Cedar Park, Texas
Description We are offering a role for a Staff Accountant in our Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing industry located in Cedar Park, Texas. The successful candidate will be integral to our Finance and Accounting Department, providing critical support through various general accounting functions. This role is a part of our commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular analysis and review of inventory accounts
• Assist in the month-end closing process, which includes the preparation of journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Carry out standard and custom analyses as required
• Distribute month-end reports
• Support field personnel with accounting matters
• Calculate and remit Sales & Use Tax
• File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
• Provide audit support and schedules when requested
• Participate in special projects and perform other accounting functions as necessary
• Carry out SOX compliance test work
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance
• Ability to prepare Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of the Stone/Glass/Concrete Manufacturing industry is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
