Description

We are looking for a diligent Accounts Payable Clerk to work with an industry leader in the manufacturing industry and located in Cedar Rapids. This role is crucial to our accounting operations, with a focus on processing vendor invoices, providing analytical assistance, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Processing vendor invoices

• Direct non-compliant invoices to the appropriate department

• Interact with vendors and manufacturers in purchasing, addressing expediting and receipt/invoicing issues.

• Prepare payables and conduct 3-way match

• Coordinate with corporate AP to ensure timely issuance of payments.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly journal entries

• Assist in the preparation of weekly Bookings/Shipments and month-end Backlog reports

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with check runs and coding invoices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Previous experience with Epicor software or other ERP software

• Experience with 3-way matching, purchase orders, and packing slip

• Experience in filing and maintaining vendor files

• Knowledge of freight bill processing

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
