Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Description
We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a busy team in Cedar Rapids where you will work alongside the accounting and sales teams. In this role, you will be the liaison between the business team and sales department, acting as a point of contact for both internal and external customers. This organization is an industry leader in the manufacturing industry and is seeking the right accounting individual who is looking to grow.
Responsibilities:
• Compile data from various sources and generate summary reports as required
• Process work orders or documents requiring procedural knowledge
• Provide prompt and accurate internal and external customer service
• Review documents for sufficiency, obtain necessary signatures, and route appropriately
• Maintain accurate customer files
• Verify deposits and post to accounts receivable
• Generate shipping/invoicing documents
• Oversee the lifecycle of sales and invoicing process and communicate with various stakeholders
• Process and maintain sales quotes, ERP, and CRM systems
Requirements
• Previous experience within the manufacturing industry is ideal
• Competency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing Functions and Cash Activity processes
• Experience in Check Processing
• Working knowledge of Salesforce and Epicor is preferred, but not required
• Previous experience working within a CRM and an ERP system
• Experience in handling Customer Invoices, Sales Quotes, and Invoice Payment
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
