Robert Half Compliance Coordinator in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Description

The Compliance Coordinator is a systems thinker who guides in operating with integrity, fairness, transparency, and trust. We seek a Compliance Coordinator to help develop and streamline the compliance programs and procedures and ensure our business operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.

•Some of the critical tasks you’ll be handling as the Compliance Coordinator include monitoring overall compliance with the legal and educational standards and relevant legislation, providing training on policy updates, reporting violations according to established procedures, etc

•Act ethically and according to professional norms to promote each student's academic success and well-being

•Strive for equity of educational opportunity and culturally responsive practices to promote each student's academic success and well-being

•Develop school personnel's professional capacity and practice to promote each student's academic success and well-being

•Provide organizational health through clarity of processes and consistency

•Research and stay up to date on industry-relevant regulatory requirements and legislation

•Assist with developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures based on internal and external requirements

•Update all compliance policies based on the changes in external regulations and communicate updates to all employees by conducting regular training sessions

•Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal laws and industry-specific regulations, document any violations, and prepare reports for management

•Report violations to relevant external authorities as needed

•Maintain the accuracy of internal compliance logs and databases

•Support internal and external compliance audits

•Serve as the main point of contact for employees with questions or concerns regarding our compliance policies

•Communicate to internal and external stakeholders the efficient and effective use of district resources aligned with district priorities and students’ needsking with computers, written materials, reports, assessment data, etc.

Requirements

•Strong research, investigative, and reporting skills are required

•Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory laws relevant to our District

•Proficiency in compliance tools [Qualityze, Resolver, StandardFusion, etc.]

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with superb attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude

•Commitment to contribute to the education, safety, and security of all

•Ability to relate to others positively and professionally

•Ability to perform under pressure

•Ability to contribute positively to the productivity of teams

•Effective oral and written communication

•Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and related communication skills, including proofreading, editing, and creating original documents

•Ability to organize and manage details in an orderly and thorough manner

•Willingness to assume responsibility and to be accountable for decisions

•Willingness to adjust to a flexible work schedule

•Capacity to represent the District professionally, including confidentiality, collegiality, and the ability to obtain and utilize additional training, if necessary

•Ability to problem solve independently and with others, take initiative, and work independently without supervision

•Knowledge of State and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines

•Works with exceptional trust and integrity

•Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and quality initiatives

•Demonstrate commitment to closing the achievement gap and ensuring students transition successfully to post-secondary endeavors

•To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
