Robert Half's Salaried Professional Services (SPS) is seeking skilled candidates for a Financial Analyst position. Looking for work where you can become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management? This Financial Analyst position might be right for you. If you're good at conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you're a good fit for this position. You will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, is a direct hire opportunity into our Salaried Professional Services (SPS) practice where you will be a full time Robert Half employee and serve as a full time consultant for our SPS division. This role is based in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. Salary for this role is between $50,000 and $53,000 annually with additional bonuses and overtime opportunities. Major responsibilities

  • Present and monitor forecasting reports

  • Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making

  • Work next to senior executives on long-term deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Understand and communicate internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

  • Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Keep up weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

  • Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

  • Candidate that feels comfortable working with large amounts of information and handling expectations

    Requirements

  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

  • Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting & modeling

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Strong familiarity with Excel Formulas

  • Practical knowledge of reinsurance

  • Excel VBA experience

  • General familiarity with reinsurance

  • Command of Microsoft SQL

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Queries

  • Adeptness in financial modeling

  • Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
